Street Furniture Packages for Educational Facilities across the country

Bailey Streetscene have supplied a range of street furniture packages to schools, colleges and universities across the country. Here’s a snapshot of the projects.

Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Building

Kingston University is a public research university located within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It has a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for UK and International students. Kingston University is a top institution for fashion, journalism and publishing.

The new Penrhyn Road Building has only recently finished construction and is now used as a performance, learning, exhibition and community space, as well as houses one of the university’s libraries.

Bailey Streetscene supplied stainless steel bollards and 53 Sheffield Cycle Stands to the University. As well as the Versio Levis 50 Bench and Table to create seating areas that are ideal for studying, eating and socialising.

Picnic Tables for King's College London

King’s College is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in England and is ranked in the top 10 universities in the world. Located in the heart of London, it has nine faculties offering a large selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. King’s has a distinguished reputation in the humanities, law and the sciences.

Bailey Streetscene supplied the popular Linares Picnic Set with the steel frame in a graphite powder coating finish. The picnic tables provide a seating area for students to use for dining, studying or hanging out with peers.

Timber Canopy for the new Eco Modular Buildings at Harthill School

Harthill Primary School is a community lead school in the heart of the village with an enjoyable learning experience for pupils aged 7 - 11. The school has replaced two ‘temporary’ prefab buildings that had stood for 50 years, with new Eco Modular Buildings.

Bailey Streetscene supplied a large Birley Canopy to the project. The treated timber canopy has PET roof sheeting and is connected to the new buildings to provide an outdoor play area that is sheltered and can also act as an outdoor learning environment.

Fullhurst Community College

The site of the new Fullhurst Community College, previously the home of Ellesmere College, was an ambitious £90million school expansion project. Orchestrated by Leicester City Council and implemented by Willmott Dixon.

Bailey Streetscene have supplied a 20m Bexley Mono Pitch Canopy along with a 16m Eastbrook Cycle Shelter, Sheffield Cycle Stands, Square Timber & Steel Litter Bins, Ormiston Picnic Sets in timber and some with DDA compliant specification to allow wheelchair users access, Harbour Cube in light grey finish, Steel door guards, and Table Tennis Tables.

Fullhurst is now an important education facility for Leicester, with space for a student population of 1500 across the two sites, teaching those aged 11-16. The modern building has been built to integrate with the 1930’s red brick façade and clock tower, now at the rear of the premises.
