Designed and manufactured by City Design and specified in the UK through BSFG, the Milano litter bin has been developed as a purpose‑driven recycling unit for contemporary public interiors. Its linear, architectural form and clearly defined three‑hole lid support intuitive waste separation, helping end users correctly identify disposal points while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
The Milano structure is manufactured from welded steel sheet, combined with a three‑aperture lid formed from aluminium sheet. Inside the unit, three separate 60‑litre liners, each manufactured from steel sheet, provide dedicated capacity for organised waste streams. This configuration makes Milano particularly suitable for applications where recycling compliance and visual order are essential.
All metal components are galvanised and finished with a thermosetting polyester powder coating, delivering long‑term resistance to wear, corrosion and everyday use. All fixings are produced in AISI 304 stainless steel, contributing to durability and reduced maintenance requirements. The lid and external mantle are supplied with dedicated adhesive graphics that clearly identify waste types through colour and iconography, supporting clear user guidance and effective recycling behaviour.
Milano is designed as a free‑standing unit with adjustable feet for accurate levelling, making it suitable for placement on finished internal floors without invasive fixing methods. Its stable footprint and refined detailing allow it to integrate seamlessly into indoor public environments such as transport concourses, civic buildings, educational facilities and commercial interiors.
