Incredible things happening at the Bailey Street Furniture Group

Today our Managing Director, David Pringle, hosted our first ever ‘Town Hall’ meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to share news to all our staff across our sites. It included the progress made in the year so far, the goals and plans for the coming months, new benefits for staff, and some internal changes that will help make things run even smoother for our clients.

We also kicked off a new company initiative -  Employee of the Quarter! All members of staff were asked to vote for one person who had particularly shone in Q1, whether by supporting colleagues, going above and beyond for a customer, or adding value to the BSFG community and business.

We had a fair amount of nominees which shows how special and appreciated so many of our staff members are. However there can only be one winner each quarter, and for Q1 the clear winner with a lot of nominations was Katie Lees, product design engineer!

Katie has been with the company for 3 years now, and in that time she has excelled in everything she has worked on, and become a real valued member of the team.

These are some of the things her colleagues had to say about her:

  • Outstanding support, communication and efficiency when assisting with large complicated projects, a great help
  • Katie has gone above and beyond and worked perilously under massive amounts of pressure
  • Katie is very helpful and quick to respond with information and drawings
  • Works hard, takes that further step to help others
  • Taking the brunt of the manufacture drawings
  • Smashing CAD work
  • Katie has been the start of the CAD team throughout the busiest drawings period we've ever had. She has massively stepped up and proven herself more than worthy of any acclaim she receives. She should be recognised whether it's within the employee of the quarter scheme or not!
  • She worked hard last few weeks plus helping other CAD teams when needed

Katie has been awarded with a bottle of champagne, £100 gift voucher and an engraved award, and we all thank her for her hard work and commitment this year.

We would also like to thank everyone who got involved with voting and we hope that all future awards and town hall meetings will be as well attended.
