The MP Bench by HITSA is a distinctive, circular bench system designed by MASU Planning to enrich urban spaces with social, inclusive and sensorially appealing seating forms. Configurable in three sizes—MP3 (Ø3200 mm), MP4 (Ø4000 mm) and MP6 (Ø6000 mm)—the MP Bench defines and activates space, serving as both a gathering point and a sculptural landscape element. Its sweeping geometry offers dual‑aspect usability: the outer curve invites people to enjoy views and passing activity, while the inner space creates a more intimate, sheltered zone for conversation and play.
Crafted with a frame manufactured in HITSA’s own facilities, the bench combines a robust hot‑dip galvanised steel chassis with premium timber slats in wedge‑cut oak or mahogany, both chosen for their natural durability and low maintenance requirements. Clients can maintain the industrial‑galvanised aesthetic or specify an optional powder‑coated finish to complement branding or landscape colour palettes. Every steel component is engineered to be long‑lasting, self‑repairing against minor abrasion, and resistant to harsh outdoor conditions—factors that significantly extend the life cycle and reduce whole‑life costs.
To elevate comfort and visual rhythm, optional backrest modules can be added or retrofitted. On MP3 and MP4 units, the backrest sits along the inner curve, while the large MP6 allows dual‑side usage due to its greater width. Each backrest is wedge‑shaped to provide ergonomic support without compromising the clean, minimal Nordic aesthetic. Combining multiple MP benches—across sizes and configurations—creates a cohesive, placemaking composition that enhances parks, city squares, waterfronts, school campuses and cultural destinations.
