SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The Paleto Shelter System has been developed as a modular building‑block shelter, allowing BSFG to deliver tailored solutions for a wide variety of site conditions and user requirements. Rather than a fixed shelter design, Paleto operates as a flexible platform that can be expanded, enclosed, reconfigured or adapted over time, ensuring long‑term value and adaptability.

At its core, Paleto uses a structural steel frame with robust 80 × 80 mm posts, supporting modular roof and wall elements. The shelter can be supplied as an open canopy, a partially enclosed shelter, or a fully enclosed and lockable unit, depending on security requirements. Thanks to its scalable geometry, Paleto is equally suitable for small workplaces, large transport hubs or high‑density urban cycle parking schemes.

ONE SYSTEM – MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS

The Paleto system supports multiple uses within a single shelter family, including:

• Bicycle parking shelters (single‑tier or two‑tier systems)
• E‑bike charging shelters
• Scooter and motorcycle parking
• Secure bicycle storage and lockers
• Covered walkways and linking canopies
• Smoking shelters
• Container and equipment storage

Combinations of these functions can be delivered within the same structure.

MODULAR DIMENSIONS & STRUCTURE

• Height options: approx. 2.35 m or 3.0 m
  • 3.0 m height suitable for double‑deck bicycle parking
• Length: extendable using modular bays (typically approx. 3.98 m modules)
• Width: extendable using modular side bays (approx. 2.42 m or 2.92 m modules)
• Posts: steel box section 80 × 80 mm
• Construction: modular steel frame with interchangeable infill panels 

WALL INFILL & ENCLOSURE OPTIONS

Paleto shelters can be configured with different wall treatments, including:

• Double wire mesh panels (galvanised or RAL coated)
• Perforated steel panels (galvanised or RAL coated)
• Timber slatted infill (FSC‑certified timber options)
• Fully open sides
• Fully enclosed walls with lockable doors

Door options include single doors (approx. 1.1 m) and double doors (approx. 2.2 m), positioned to suit site layout and user flow.

ROOF, DRAINAGE & SUSTAINABILITY OPTIONS

• Roof types: steel profiled roof as standard
• Optional sedum (green) roof, requiring raised roof edge
• Integrated rainwater drainage via hollow support posts
• Drainage can be concealed below ground and connected to site systems

These features support sustainable drainage strategies and environmental integration. 

LIGHTING, POWER & ACCESSORIES

Paleto can be enhanced with optional integrated services, including:

• Integrated LED lighting within roof beams
• Motion sensors (project‑dependent)
• Electric charging points for e‑bikes
• Maintenance stations
• Door closers and access‑control hardware

INSTALLATION & DELIVERY

Paleto shelters supplied by BSFG are delivered as a complete system, with installation carried out by specialist teams to ensure structural accuracy and correct drainage integration. The modular design enables faster site installation and phased expansion where required.
