Loop Line
The Loop Line is a key component within the Loop modular furniture system, providing a straight seating module that contrasts and complements the curved forms of Loop Arc and Loop Corner elements. Its linear geometry allows designers to structure space, guide movement, or frame activity zones while maintaining an open and approachable seating solution. Used alone, Loop Line functions as a simple bench; combined with other Loop modules, it supports more complex and expressive layouts.
Manufactured from rotation‑moulded polyethylene with a wall thickness of approximately 6–7 mm, the Loop Line is engineered for long‑term outdoor use. The material is UV‑resistant, impact‑resistant and weather‑resilient, making it suitable for high‑footfall public‑realm environments. The surface is lightly textured as a result of the moulding process, improving grip and reducing slip risk, which is particularly beneficial in educational and play settings.
A single Loop Line module typically accommodates 3–4 users, depending on configuration. Multiple segments can be joined end‑to‑end to create extended benches or combined with Loop Arc and Loop Corner modules to form enclosures, soft boundaries or flowing seating arrangements. These flexible combinations can be used to define areas such as playgrounds, sandpits, ball courts or informal gathering spaces without the need for permanent hard landscaping.
Installation options are designed to suit a variety of site requirements. The Loop Line can be freestanding when weighted internally with water or sand, or it can be secured to the ground or surface using fixing brackets for added stability and security. Maintenance requirements are minimal: the polyethylene surface can be cleaned with standard detergents or pressure washing, and its colour can be refreshed if required. Recycled polyethylene versions are available, supporting circular‑economy and sustainability goals in public‑realm projects.
