The unit has been independently tested to IWA 14‑1:2013 impact ratings, offering certified protection against deliberate or accidental vehicular intrusion. Depending on the configuration, the Protect bin delivers impact performance of:
- Single Core: V/1500 [M1]/48/90:2.2
- Dual Core: V/2500 [N1G]/48/90:0.0
- Above ground: W 480 × L 600 × H 1061 mm
- Below ground: W 1300 × L 1300 × H 250 mm
For waste management flexibility, the Protect bin is available as a 120 L general‑waste format or as a recycling unit containing 2 × 60 L steel liners, enabling multi‑stream segregation within a unified footprint. The design draws on the familiar styling of BSFG’s Ascot‑line bins but incorporates heavy reinforcement and impact‑engineered internal structure.
