The Plateau Table Round is a refined member of the Plateau outdoor furniture family, developed to support flexible, small‑scale social interaction in modern public spaces. Its simple circular form and restrained proportions make it easy to integrate into a wide range of environments, from streetscapes and plazas to schools and residential courtyards. Designed as a standalone table, it creates a natural focal point for conversation, informal meetings or casual use.
The Plateau Table Round comfortably accommodates up to four users when paired with complementary seating such as Plateau City Chairs. The round shape encourages equal access from all sides, promoting face‑to‑face interaction while avoiding visual dominance in compact spaces. Its scale makes it particularly suited to distributed seating strategies where multiple small tables are preferred over larger communal formats.
The tabletop is manufactured from 12 mm compact high‑pressure laminate (HPL), a robust, multi‑layered material chosen for its excellent resistance to UV exposure, moisture and mechanical wear. The supporting frame and legs are produced from hot‑dip galvanised steel, providing long‑term corrosion resistance and structural durability in exposed outdoor conditions. These materials are deliberately low‑maintenance, requiring only simple cleaning, with graffiti removable easily where necessary.
The Plateau Table Round is designed for surface mounting, with fixing points integrated into the legs to ensure stability in public‑realm environments. An optional solar‑powered lighting accessory can be added to extend usability into the evening, enhancing comfort and safety without the need for external power connections.
