Part of the wider Plateau seating family, the seat features a minimal, almost floating profile that integrates easily into paved areas, stairs, plinths and landscaped settings. Its form offers an inviting alternative to sitting directly on hard surfaces while maintaining visual lightness.
The seating surface is manufactured from 12 mm compact high‑pressure laminate (HPL), a robust, multi‑layered material with excellent resistance to UV exposure, moisture and wear. This is supported by a structure of hot‑dip galvanised steel, ensuring long‑term corrosion resistance and structural stability. The materials require no routine maintenance beyond basic cleaning, and graffiti can be removed easily, making the seat suitable for high‑footfall urban locations.
The Plateau Seat B/F is available in multiple standard lengths, allowing it to seat between one and four people, depending on configuration. An optional compact side table can be added, providing a convenient surface for drinks, bags or use as an armrest. This modular approach enables designers to create informal seating clusters or continuous seating runs that respond naturally to how people occupy space.
Two fixing options are available to suit different site conditions:
- B version – designed for burying directly into the ground for a seamless appearance (root fixed)
- F version – supplied with a mounting flange for surface fixing to hardstanding (surface mounted)
Seats are delivered partially assembled, simplifying installation while maintaining precision and durability. The Plateau Seat B/F is particularly well suited to schools, campuses, streetscapes, waterfronts and civic plazas where adaptable, low‑profile seating is required.
