The Plateau Picnic L is part of the wider Plateau family of integrated outdoor furniture, developed to encourage social interaction while improving accessibility and ease of use. Its distinctive layout features two benches positioned diagonally to form an ‘L’ shape, allowing users to approach and leave the table more easily than fully enclosed picnic formats.
This configuration makes the Plateau Picnic L particularly suitable for environments serving mixed age groups or users with reduced mobility. The staggered access allows seating positions to be reached without climbing over benches or navigating tight gaps, supporting more inclusive everyday use. With seating for approximately 8–10 people, the table accommodates both group activity and casual, individual use.
The seating and tabletop surfaces are manufactured from 12 mm compact high‑pressure laminate (HPL) — a dense, multi‑layered material offering excellent resistance to UV exposure, moisture and wear. The supporting structure is manufactured from hot‑dip galvanised steel, providing strong corrosion resistance and long service life even in exposed outdoor locations. These materials are selected to minimise maintenance, requiring only simple cleaning, while also allowing graffiti to be removed easily.
The Plateau Picnic L is designed for surface mounting, ensuring stability in high‑footfall public environments. Optional backrests or accessories can be added to improve comfort for longer dwell times, and a selection of solid colour finishes allows the table to either blend into its surroundings or act as a visual focal point. The clean, graphic form reflects a restrained, Scandinavian‑influenced aesthetic that integrates readily into both landscape‑led and architectural schemes.
