The Louis Shelter is a robust and adaptable canopy solution developed for modern public‑realm, transport, education and commercial environments.
The shelter features a cantilevered barrel roof, tilted to the rear, supported by just two steel posts. This clear‑span configuration maximises the usable space beneath the shelter, making it particularly well suited to cycle parking layouts, pedestrian circulation and covered waiting areas. The extended roof depth provides approximately 3.2 m of shelter coverage, allowing for an additional row of cycle stands or use with larger formats such as motorcycle parking where required.
Manufactured from hot‑dip galvanised steel and produced in accordance with BS EN 1090, the Louis Shelter delivers long‑term structural performance with low maintenance demands. The frame can be supplied in a standard galvanised finish or powder‑coated in a range of RAL colour to meet architectural or branding requirements. Roof cladding is formed from PET clear sheeting, providing weather protection while maintaining high levels of light transmission and passive surveillance.
The Louis Shelter is supplied in standard 5‑metre modules and can be extended lengthways to create continuous sheltered zones. This modular approach allows the shelter to be used as a compact standalone unit or expanded to serve high‑capacity cycle parking areas across campuses and large developments. Root‑fixed or surface‑mounted installation options are available, providing flexibility for different ground conditions and project constraints.
