Loop Up is a small‑scale yet highly versatile element within the Loop modular furniture family, developed to introduce movement, playfulness and informal seating into outdoor public environments. Its defining feature is its simple bollard‑like form, which invites users to sit, rest, balance or jump, depending on context and age group. This multifunctional nature makes Loop Up especially effective in schoolyards, playgrounds, parks and urban spaces where static seating alone may limit interaction.
Manufactured from rotation‑moulded polyethylene with a thickness of approximately 6 mm, Loop Up is designed for long‑term outdoor use. The material is UV‑resistant, impact‑resistant and weather‑resilient, ensuring reliable performance in high‑footfall environments. The surface has a lightly textured finish created during the moulding process, increasing grip and reducing slip risk in active use settings. The unit is moulded in one piece, giving it inherent structural strength and visual simplicity.
Each Loop Up unit measures approximately Ø540 mm × 400 mm high, with a compact footprint that allows it to be used individually or arranged in clusters. When placed together in varying colours and layouts, multiple Loop Up units create playful landscapes that encourage gathering, movement and informal socialising. Loop Up can also be combined with other elements from the Loop family, such as Loop tables or curved seating, to create cohesive seating‑and‑activity zones.
Installation options include surface fixing or ground fixing, depending on site requirements and desired permanence. Maintenance requirements are minimal: the polyethylene surface withstands most cleaning agents, can be pressure‑washed, and its colour can be refreshed if required. Recycled polyethylene versions are available, supporting circular‑economy principles and responsible material use in public‑realm projects.
