The Loop Corner is a versatile seating module developed as part of the wider Loop modular furniture system. Formed as a 90‑degree element, it allows designers to introduce gentle corners into seating layouts, offering organic shapes that contrast with rigid urban geometry. Used individually, it functions as a corner bench; when combined with Loop Line or Loop Arc elements, it enables the creation of squares, curves, enclosures or flowing seating arrangements.
Manufactured from rotation‑moulded polyethylene with a thickness of approximately 6 mm, the Loop Corner is designed for long‑term outdoor use. The material is UV‑resistant, impact‑resistant and suitable for recycling. A sand‑blasted mould finish gives the surface a subtle texture, increasing grip and improving comfort and safety in high‑use public environments. The module is moulded in a single piece, giving it inherent strength and clean visual simplicity.
Each Loop Corner module measures approximately 1400 mm × 1400 mm × 400 mm, providing seating for around 3–4 users depending on configuration. The unit can be installed in multiple ways to suit site conditions: it may be freestanding, secured by filling internally with water or sand for ballast, or fixed to the ground using brackets. Modules can also be mechanically connected to adjacent Loop units, ensuring stability when used in larger compositions.
In addition to general public‑realm use, the Loop Corner is suitable for play and activity settings, where it can help define areas such as sandpits, ball courts or informal gathering zones while also providing durable seating. The material withstands most cleaning agents and can be cleaned using pressure‑washing methods, contributing to low lifecycle maintenance. Recycled polyethylene versions are available, supporting circular‑economy and sustainability objectives.
