The COVER 240 Litter Bin from Metalco is a purpose‑designed enclosure that conceals and protects a standard 240‑litre waste container. Built around a steel‑tube supporting frame, the enclosure is clad with three steel side panels that create a rigid, durable structure suitable for high‑traffic and high‑demand outdoor environments. The enclosure provides a clean architectural form that significantly improves the visual appearance of public waste‑collection points.
A key feature of the COVER 240 is its front door equipped with a lock, allowing maintenance teams to access the internal wheelie bin safely and efficiently. The inclined rain cover shields the container from weather exposure, helping to control contamination, odour, and wind‑blown litter. Waste is introduced through a conveyor‑style opening in the cover, designed for intuitive use by the public while keeping the container itself concealed.
For sites implementing recycling or multi‑stream waste strategies, COVER 240 units can be placed side‑by‑side to form modular waste‑sorting islands.
