The COSI BO Table delivers a timeless, minimal aesthetic with the material honesty of corten steel, specified to withstand hard urban environments with virtually no maintenance. The corten alloy forms a protective rust‑red patina after a few months of exposure; this outer layer then seals against moisture and salt, giving excellent durability in year‑round British conditions. Designed by Danish studio Cobe Arkitekter as part of the COSI range, the table’s generous format (typically 2000 mm long) provides a practical hub for picnics, study, coworking or events, and its heat‑resistant top allows hot cookware to be set down safely for communal dining.
COSI BO is engineered for flexible delivery and lifecycle value. It can be installed by simple placement on a prepared surface, surface‑bolted, or supplied as an in‑ground version; the series datasheet confirms the dedicated “COSI BO” table variant and installation envelopes. Where a different aesthetic or coastal specification is preferred, the table can alternatively be produced in hot‑dip galvanised steel or powder‑coated galvanised steel, with a stainless‑steel or powder‑coated stainless‑steel tabletop, all within the same rectilinear language for consistency across a scheme.
For coordinated placemaking, pair COSI BO with COSI benches—available in 1200 and 2000 mm—and the COSI park bench; benches in the set are proportioned slightly narrower (four slats) than the free‑standing versions (six slats) to optimise ergonomics and clearance around the table. The entire family is “made for disassembly”, enabling straightforward slat replacement on seating products and easier recycling and resource recovery at end‑of‑life—supporting circular design objectives without compromising strength or appearance.
