Project Details
Since its development in 2010, the building has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and won the British Council of Office’s ‘Best Office in the North’ award.
After 11 years, improvement works have been undertaken to cement The Hive’s reputation as the leading office building in the Northern Quarter. These include amenity upgrades and environmental enhancements, including a greening to deliver a significant biodiversity gain, upgrading of bike and shower facilities
BSFG was approached by Vantage Building Consultancy & J Mills Contractors Ltd to update the arcade space by providing a centerpiece seating and planter system.
2 planter systems now sit in the center of the arcade, providing a large bed bringing pollinator-friendly plants for insects. These units also feature inset seating clad with hardwood timber providing an inviting and social environment for staff and public.
Thanks to the flexibility of our Inspira Modular Planting System we can work our design to fit an array of locations. Inspira is supplied in easy-to-maneuver sections that can be combined to create large planting beds making the most of the space available.
