ADD PLUS TF is one of the core T‑modules in HITSA’s ADD PLUS modular bench series—a system inspired by Tetris‑style geometric blocks that can be combined in countless ways to build custom outdoor seating landscapes. Designed by Danish studio byMUNCH, the module includes a single backrest and a generous seating area, allowing designers to define social zones, breakout spaces, circulation edges and casual gathering points. The bench can be viewed and used from all sides, encouraging relaxed, informal behaviour such as leaning, lounging, side‑sitting or even sitting across the backrest.
Constructed for long‑term public‑realm durability, ADD PLUS TF features galvanised square‑tube steel legs and 4 mm stainless‑steel end plates (powder‑coatable in custom RAL colours). The seat is clad in oil‑treated FSC®‑certified mahogany slats for warmth, natural resilience and a premium finish. The modular chassis is engineered for in‑ground installation via concrete embedding, while datasheet variations (TF, TN, IF etc.) confirm dimensions and layouts across the ADD PLUS range.
As with all ADD PLUS modules, the TF unit can be combined with S‑modules (two backrests), O‑modules (without backrests), and small linking modules—plus optional planter‑integrated variants—to form linear, angular or serpentine seating patterns. These qualities make ADD PLUS TF ideal for educational campuses, plazas, community areas, town squares and shared social spaces where designers seek adaptable, multipurpose seating that keeps users engaged.
